DISCOVERING NUXE

Nuxe is a brand I've always associated with chic, effortless and stylish French ladies in their thirties with two adorable kids and a cute little chien. In line with this I almost immediately start dreaming of flawless, fresh skins with a tache de beauté and little or no make-up. The luxurious looking, high-quality packages attribute even more to this idea. Despite this positive association I never really tried the brand itself, until I got massively spoiled with a huge box full of Nuxe goodness! Time to finally see if the products would meet my high expectations. I started using these products at the end of January, so after 4 months I can officially ask myself where the hell Nuxe has been all my life. Like, really.

My ultimate favourites are the Eau Démaquillante Micellaire with rose petals and the Rêve de Miel lip balm. I'm testing this cleanser at the same time as the world-famous Bioderma Solution Micellaire cleanser and I must confess that I find it hard to pick a favourite between the two. Bioderma feels great to remove my eye make-up but I tend to grab my Nuxe cleanser to take care of my skin. The lip balm is just splendid: it's not sticky nor shiny, it nourishes my lips perfectly and the scent makes me want to eat it. Nomnom. The only disadvantage is that my friends start stealing my pommade on a regular basis. Now, talking about nourishing: the perfect moisturizing day cream is an absolute pain to find! From my experience the Crème Fraiche Enrichie took great care of my skin during winter, but starts to feel a bit greasy for me now that it's getting warmer outside. I think that for summer I'll go back to my trusty old Clarins Daily Energizing Cream-Gel, which feels super light and gets absorbed like crazy.
Other products in my surprise package were Rève de Miel hand/foot cream, Huile Prodigieuse and Masque Détox Vitaminé with orange water, but I haven't tried these thoroughly enough to give you a substantiated opinion on it. After testing them for a couple of times I can only conclude that I'd never refuse this great honey and orange-smelling stuff. Overall I'd say that Nuxe is a splurge that's definitely worth the money! The products look very luxurious, smell heavenly and do great things for your skin. Encore une, s'il vous-plaît!
Note: I'm not a beauty blogger so please don't shoot me for not deeply analyzing the quality or ingredients of these pieces! I'm merely giving my (very enthusiast) opinion on these products gifted to me.
