MY 5 STEP NATURAL BEAUTY LOOK WITH ETAM

Hey guys! You may or you may not know that I'm a real beauty blunderer: words like toner, cc-cream and beauty blender sponge are alien to me. (Yes, I googled this stuff) Because I get in contact with make-up a lot on my job and because most of the time I fall asleep in the make-up chair, I don't really spend much time on beautifying myself when off duty. On the days that I do reach out to my (weirdly enough, stuffed) make-up drawer, I usually settle with a touch of tinted moisturizer, some brow powder and mascara. Now! Things are about to change! I have no intentions whatsoever to apply a full smokey eye on a daily basis, but I feel like I could put some more effort on my to-go look.

Lingerie brand Etam recently surprised the world with a brand new and pretty massive beauty line, which is already for sale online! The collection will also be for sale in Belgium from December. They challenged me, the beauty noob, to explore more of my personal beauty options by inviting me to Paris for the launch and bombing me with products, scents and ingredients I had never ever heard of. After this fun but overwhelming experience it took me some time to immerse myself in the world of brushes, eyeshadows and shower gels. I obviously gave up real quick and restricted myself to what I do good: the basics. Today I'm happy to present you my 5 step natural beauty look* powered by Etam!

STEP 1 - CLEAN
When applying make-up I always start off with a fresh face after thoroughly cleaning my skin with water and my fave eau de nettoyante by Clarins. I never really use the same moisturizer on a daily base, but my current favourites are by Clinique, Clarins and definitely L'Oreal. I am ubelievably lucky with my basically flawless skin, and I like to keep it this way by drinking lots of water, cleansing twice a day and adding tons of hydrating products.

STEP 2 - SKIN
After moisturizing the skin it's time to make your face just a bit more even. This Push up de teint foundation is super light and comes in 4 different colours. I tried the colour apricot, which was a tad too orange for me, so I mixed it with some moisturizer for a more subtle effect. My favourite features of this foundation are the healthy glow and the fact that it's not entirely covering my skin, which would be totally dispensable for me.

STEP 3 - EYES

Next up is EYES, probably the most important component for a real fresh look. I must confess that I would have loved some eyebrow powder to try out as well, since I luv me some strong brow party. Luckily this mascara doesn't need any addition to brighten up my gaze, because it beautifully lengthens ànd seperates my lashes. I personally love applying mascara to my bottom lashes for an open and cute look. Did I mention the sharp price of €5.90? Don't forget to curl your lashes before applying the mascara, it makes a HUGE difference. Never curl them after the mascara part, otherwise several make-up artists your ex-lashes will hunt you forever in your dreams. Those make-up artists will probably also hunt me for not brushing my brows. Sorry to disappoint you guys.

STEP 4 - CHEEKS
Here's a step that's quite new for me: cream blush! Or any blush in general. My beauty-expert friend (I'm talking about you, Robin) pointed out my plain make-up habit many times before, so it was about time that I finally surrendered to a touch of colour. Blush used to scare me a lot (see why) but this cream version turned out to be the perfect solution for my fears. Because of the creamy texture you can really blend in the colour on the exact places you want, so that it becomes a very smooth and delicate entirety. The colour Candy Crush might scare you too, but it's way more subtle than shown on the product pic! If I dare to go out wearing it, you definitely can too.

STEP 5 - LIPS
The last step is all about adding that extra touch to your lips. In my own safe beauty routine I usually stick with a) lip balm or b) a bright matte lipstick. But lipgloss? Ew. That sticky shit ain't coming on my lips. Until I tried Kiss Me Forever, a very subtle coloured gloss with a shiny texture that doesn't stick at all. In fact it feels a bit mattifying, although the glow remains. It also smells like candy. Mm. The colour tried on the photos is Pecher Gourmand!

And TADAAAAA
Here's the healthy glowing version of le me!

If you want to transform this basic look into something more partyproof for the evening, I'd suggest these babies:
Liquid lipstick that feels like lipgloss but mattifies within a few moments. Ahmazing in hot pink, n°6. ∙ Creamy lipstick that lasts quite long without drying out your lips. Especially loving n°12! ∙ Mr. Big, your new favourite brush for shaping your decolleté in a natural but glamourous way. Rawr. ∙ Ombre à paupieres in 80 different colours and 4 different textures: pearly, matte, metallic and glittery!

Hope you all enjoyed this post! I put a lot of effort in it (BLOOD/SWEAT/TEARS) but I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone and capturing a different side of me! Also: thanks bro for lending me your tripod!

With special thanks to Etam and Oona, who kindly supported but not sponsored this post! <3
* As said before I am not at all an expert in the world of beauty, so please don't pin me down if I made any mistakes or whatsoever in this article! I'm lucky to have an extremely healthy and easy skin, so this 5 step plan may not work for everyone. This is just me sharing my own experience, and I really hope you like it!
