I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately because inevitably one day I will have to have a home base! It is surprisingly hard to live out of a suitcase for extended periods of time (okay probably not that surprising). I will always always always be travelling constantly but when I do have a home base I would like it to be in Europe – perhaps Germany! I love the country and people and everything about Germany!
Hi Ashley, I just wrote a blog post on this which explains how I can travel the world full time and talks about all the specifics. Aside from that I also have a book which gives full details on how I went from being in school to being paid to travel the world!
Thank you Kayla!! I will be coming back to Australia after a year of travelling but will only be home for about 10 days! I am coming home for my sisters’ wedding and then setting off on the next adventure, heading straight to South East Asia!
Hey Emma! Great question. I use the 28 Degrees Mastercard everywhere I go. If they don’t take credit card, I keep a small amount of cash on me (usually $USD, Euros or Pounds). If they don’t accept this, I will go and get some money exchanged. I’m very casual about it as most places take credit card these days!
I just use my iphone 5s and canon 60D. I transfer all my photos to my laptop (Apple Macbook Air) and go from there! I don’t have a lot of storage space available so I delete all the photos I don’t use for my blog – probably not the best idea but because I take so many I have to be ruthless and only keep the good ones!
Hello Guzzy! Being Australian comes with a few advantages – visas is one of those! We don’t need visas for many countries, in fact the only countries I have needed a visa for are Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Brazil – from memory! Even places like Morocco I haven’t needed a visa!
Hey Sarah! I have an upcoming blog post on this which will give you HEAPS of information… I might even do a video for you guys as this is a very popular question! You can keep an eye out on my Youtube channel!

Hi Kendall! I stayed at the Grand Ol Opry hotel because I was only there for one night to go see the show – ahhhhmazing! So much fun.
I had a pretty solid plan before I left home for this year-long trip. I knew I would be in Europe/The UK until around May and then head to South Africa, followed by South America, North America, and Canada. It has changed a bit as I have been going along but I looooove mixing it up and throwing a spanner in the works!
I really hope so! I should be in Canada in December, pending all goes to plan!! I would love to meet you too!
I truly have no idea haha! I have a very crazy schedule every single day and haven’t taken a day off blogging for the last year and a half since I began my blog! I usually write a blog and reply to emails over breakfast, go out and explore for the day, come home and write a post after dinner. I usually post once per day – sometimes more and sometimes less… depending on the day!
