Terrarium Fairy Garden Kit Review

A few weeks ago, Horizon Group USA and CraftProjectIdeas.com, wrote to ask if I'd be interested in reviewing their Terrarium Fairy Garden Kit. Anything fun to do with my kids and I'm in.

First we headed to Walmart to pick out some plants. Now, I typically have a very brown thumb, especially with flowers. So, I picked out a small plant and then a flower/plant. We borrowed some planting dirt from my neighbor and got to work.

With any project, I try to let my 4 1/2 year old do as much as he can. It keeps him interested when I do that and it's good for him to see that he can do things. It teaches him independence and to be proud in something he creates. So, I let him do a lot of this. Basically the only thing I did is hold the plants in place while he added the dirt.

He couldn't wait to add the "extras." He and his sister especially loved adding the fairy dust at the end.

The box shows the little rocks in a cute design. I tried to get my little guy to do that but nope, he wanted to pile all the rocks on top of each other. HA. Again, I just let him do what he wanted since this was his project.

It turned out super cute and what's great is that it sits inside our home now on the table.

You can pick up your own Garden Kit at Walmart stores in the gardening center. They have the Terrarium Fairy Garden Kit like we have, and then they make the Traditional Fairy Garden Kit and Fairy Tea Garden Kit. If you're looking for it, here's what the box looks like.

And while you're at Walmart, head to the craft section. MyNextStyle.com is also a part of the Horizon Group USA and they are home to trend-based fashion ideas, home decor inspirations, jewelry designs and other DIY crafts featuring affordable materials. They sent me some products several months ago and I made this Stars & Stripes Pin.

Thanks again for letting me have something fun to do with my kiddos!

Disclosure: This kit was provided free by CraftProjectIdeas.com, MyNextStyle.com and Horizon Group USA.
