Some News & Updates on What's Been Happening!

Hi everyone! Before we get to the news I want to apologize for the lack of consistency on the blog. While I do have a lot to post I just haven't been feeling motivated to work on my blog lately which makes me sad. I do however need to get things posted so I think just working to get back into my "routine" will help me get excited about posting again. As you guys can see I've fallen out of love with nails a little bit and have been more focused on makeup lately. I don't know why I don't enjoy doing my nails or posting about nails like I used to but I am glad I'm able to build my makeup skills and express my creativity that way on the blog. I hope all you awesome nail enthusiasts haven't, and won't be too upset with the lack of nails on here. I do get seasonal samples for a few nail polish brands and I will continue posting those as long as I can so there will still be nail posts!

I didn't announce it on my blog (I did on Facebook though!) but December 28th was my 2 year blogiversary!! It's so crazy to me that it's only been 2 years because it feels longer but 2 years also feels like a long time.. does that make any sense?? Blogging has been so much fun and it's been so rewarding. You all are amazing and honestly do mean a lot to me. I love chatting with you guys and reading your comments; just knowing you guys are reading my posts is crazy to me (and I think I've said that exact thing about 10 times on my blog haha). Anyway I will have a giveaway, or maybe even a few, posted soon!! And the point of this post, to explain why my activity on my blog might continue to be sporadic I have to let you in on some exciting news...

If you guys don't already know, I recently finished high school and I've always planned on attending cosmetology school. I always had an idea of what school I'd like to go to but lately it seemed like I wouldn't get to go for quite a while. That was disappointing to me because I'm impatient haha and I wanted to go to school right away. I went in to get my haircut the day after Christmas at the Paul Mitchell School and as usual when I get my haircut there, I got to talking about how I planned on attending PMTS soon. Long story short I talked to the admissions leader and there were a few classes still open that were much much sooner than the date I originally thought I'd be going. My parents went on a tour of the school and filled out some paperwork and things like that but nothing was official and they didn't tell me much about it. Yesterday I went on a tour and interview and found out all the paperwork we were waiting on had gone through and I would be attending school in February this year! It all happened so fast but I'm so excited and I can't wait to get started!

As you guys know, school takes up a large portion of time and energy. I'm not sure how much extra time I'll have to devote to my blog because I do know that I'll be extremely busy and probably overwhelmed, at least at the beginning. However, I am really excited to share my experience and journey with you guys while at school. It's a really exciting (for lack of a more accurate word!) time for me and I'm so happy I get to share it with all of you!
