29 in 29.

As of somewhere between 11pm and midnight tonight, I am officially 29 years old. Yep, I only have one more year left of my 20s. How is that possible?

For the most part, the past 29 years have been pretty fantastic. Sure I had my angsty teenage years. But even then everything was pretty great, it's just impossible for a 13 year old girl to see anything other than their parent's ruining their lives. Duh.
Over the past 29 years, I've learned a lot. Why not share those lessons with you lovely people?

(two) One day your mom will be your best friend. 13 year olds around the world, I promise you this. Just wait.
(three) No matter what you sound like in your head, you do not actually sound like Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood when you sing their songs. Never stop trying.
(four) Just because you care doesn't mean others will always care in return.
(five) You'll always be daddy's little girl.
(six) Working out will never be fun, but it'll always be worth it.

(seven) There's nothing wrong with having cake for breakfast.
(eight) Kindness always wins.
(nine) Laughing until you cry is the best ab work out.
(ten) Friends are family.
(eleven) Texting is a trillion times better than talking on the phone. How did I survive my teenage years?

(twelve) Your day will only be as good as your attitude.
(thirteen) It actually is ok to go to bed angry. Sometimes you need time to sort out your thoughts before you hash things out.
(fourteen) Never drink calories unless they are alcoholic or you're sick. Then it's worth it.

(fifteen) Everyone should sit front row. And I'm not talking about at the movies. No one should do that.
(sixteen) Ice cream is always a good solution to any problem. And pizza. Oh and french fries too.
(seventeen) You should never be in regular clothes more than 5 minutes after walking in your house.

(eighteen) Losing someone is never easy, but the saying is true: time heals all wounds. Be happy they lived and that you got to enjoy them for the time they were here.
(nineteen) Everyone should own a puppy.
(twenty) Your significant other will continue to do things to annoy you. Start worrying if they stop.
(twenty-one) Always dance when Footloose comes on. No matter where you are.

(twenty-two) It's not about how often you say I love you, it's about how often you show it.
(twenty-three) Girls nights are free therapy (well except for the cost of booze). Have them often. And be sure dancing is involved the majority of the time.
(twenty-four) The apartment you can't really afford that's in the perfect location for a 20 something. Rent it. You'll have some of the best nights of your life there.
(twenty-five) Sometimes things have to fall apart before they can work forever.
(twenty-six) Being outspoken is fine. Being rude is not. Know the difference.

(twenty-seven) Getting dressed for a night out will always result in no longer being able to see your floor.
(twenty-eight) You will always find something the day after you no longer need it or replace it.
(twenty-nine) No matter how old you are, birthdays are always a big deal and should be celebrated as such.

And there you have it. I've learned a lot over these years and hopefully you just learned a thing or two. Especially that a GIF makes a blog post alllll the better.
