Cleveland Zoological Society 2014 Summer Special Events
May is over – that went quick! We’re ready for June. WIth July on its way after that, August will be here before you know it. So let’s celebrate summer with the upcoming Cleveland Zoological Society 2014 Special Events, first with a very special occasion happening today!
The Circle of Wildlife Carousel and Nature Discovery Ridge open TODAY – Friday the 30th – at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. From the zoo’s website: “Sixty-four animals in all have been carved by Mansfield, Ohio-based Carousel Works and have been installed in a new pavilion in the newly designed Circle of Wildlife area at the Zoo… Adjacent to the carousel is the new Nature Discovery Ridge play area.” You can still be a part of this project by making a donation here, or learn more about the Carousel and Nature Discovery Ridge here.
ZippityZooDoo – Friday, June 6
Put on your dressy cocktail attire, enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner plus a silent auction, valet parking, dancing and entertainment all at this fancy affair! Twilight at the Zoo – Friday, August 1
From the event website: “Twilight at the Zoo spotlights 18 local bands, and offers a large variety of music that ranges from funk to folk, rock to reggae. Admission for all partygoers includes cover charge, small bites, complimentary Samuel Adams beer, Twisted Tea, wine and soda. Don’t miss the wildest party of the summer!”

Date Night at the ZOOvies – Friday, August 22
In the event’s third year, event attendees will enjoy watching the 80′s classic Ghostbusters under the stars at the Zoo. Tickets go on sale June 16. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. More info on ZOOvies is available here.
