twelve dates of christmas / a visit to santa claus
on one of our family dates for christmas, we visited santa claus at the plaza hotel. he was one of the sweetest santa’s i’ve ever met, and i have to tell you, eleanor was completely smitten. she gets it this year. she even asked him all on her own what his favorite cookies are (he likes chocolate chip cookies in case you’re wondering if you’re trying to score some points with santa this year) and she has reminded me several times since that we need to start making santa’s chocolate chip cookies!
eleanor asked santa for a doctor tools kit (something she has been talking about for over a month now!) samson didn’t ask santa for anything or want anything to do with him really (a change from last year, that’s for sure) but he did walk up and high five him right before we left. it was almost like he was saying, “hey, i’m leaving now. but don’t forget about me.”
