Can you believe that Easter is in a few short weeks? The year is simply flying by!
Growing up in a home of strong faith, there weren’t a lot of Easter eggs and baskets. My excitement came from the fact that my dress for church would be extra special because my mom didn’t play when it came to dressing up for Easter Sunday. Every week I wore a beautiful dress to church but Easter Sunday was the prettiest (and most flowery) dress ever usually with white patent leather shoes and gloves to match!
With my boys we have been teaching both the religious aspect and the Easter bunny side. You may remember us going to see the Easter bunny for the past two years.
This year is the first year that I will be getting them an Easter basket. I was invited by Hershey’s to see all of the fun things you can put in baskets that doesn’t necessarily have to be candy. I don’t give my boys candy…at all. The only time they get candy is from their grandma or after they survive shots from the doctor. So I was interested to see what alternative goodies I could put in their basket!
Some of the items included a train set branded with the different candies (which I loved!). There also candy flavored lip balm, headphones and so much more!
The Hershey’s website also has some fun and easy Easter craft ideas too!
As a gift for attending, Hershey’s gave me a bag full of fun goodies including a candy purse (you will have to see it to believe it!) check out my vlog below:
