BAM Reviews: Samsung VU7000 Motion Sync Upright Vacuum
I am so excited about this review, I normally get really excited about reviews, but this one is probably the most awesome product that I have gotten to review YET and it came in the nick of time. I am going to share what I absolutely adore about this Samsung Vacuum*, but before I do, its been a while since i have chatted Home decor on the blog, so I will re-share my road to home ownership story and how I ended up with very beige rugs and two very colorful kids.
Since I haven’t lived in an apartment since I was five years old, and as a result, my dream was to buy a home pretty much right after we got married in 2007. Unfortunately the market crashed and burned right around the same time and we were only living on one income and rent free with my mom. After I got pregnant 7 months into marriage, we realized quickly that I the three of us would need an apartment, so we got one, and lived there for 1.5 years for a decent rent, and saved and saved for our own home.
Buying and searching for a home is extremely difficult! We must have seen dozens of homes and they simply were not right. After a year of searching we found a house! It was just enough room for the three of us, it had a backyard, and potential for a basement apartment. The only caveat? It was a complete dump, the house came right out of the 1960s, wood paneling everywhere, wood floors that were rotted, extra walls everywhere…it was horrendous. I couldn’t deny the fact that it gave me a good feeling. I might go broke renovating (and I have a couple of times) but it was home, it felt right.
As I mentioned before, the hardwood floors were rotted and unrecognizable. Either we would pay 9000k cash to redo them or head to Home Depot for some carpet. We chose the latter. Of course I had to choose the very pretty beige carpet because well, it was so pretty and it matched my brand new beige furniture set!
I would later realize what a crazy decision this was after having 2 boys. I still love my light colored carpet but the upkeep is intense! From chasing after the boys to take off their shoes before running willy nilly in the house to picking up every little piece of stuff they drop. We had a vacuum previously but it was falling apart after 2 years of use.
The Samsung VU7000 Motion Sync Bagless Upright Vacuum is seriously so amazing! One of the first things we noticed was that it took about 10 minutes to assemble. We plugged her in and we were ready to go!
It does a great job of cleaning the carpet, but my favorite part about it was the detachable handheld. This is key for me because it is easy to clean my fully carpeted stairs to the second floor as well.

My personal favorite features are:
- The ability to adjust the vacuum for different surfaces quickly and easily
- The detachable handheld that allows me to clean curtains, and other weird spots
- The ability to go around certain furniture with ease
- Its not as loud as our previous vacuum
- The easy cleaning feature! I can dump the canister without ever having to touch it. #winning
- It’s Pretty. Slim. Sexy.
- Ease of use.
If you are in the market for a vacuum, and I mean a serious vacuum, one that doesn’t play around–consider the Samsung VU7000 Motion Sync Upright Vacuum. I have beige carpets and it works for me. For the past couple of weeks we have used it non stop and it has treated our floors really well.
