BEAUTY / LUSH ‘BIG’ SHAMPOO

In Frankrijk, Tours om precies te zijn, heb ik mijn eerste Lush aankopen ooit gedaan. Op de één of andere manier kon ik me in Amsterdam altijd nog inhouden in de Lush winkel door mezelf steeds te vragen ‘Heb ik dit echt nodig?’ en ‘Is dit niet een beetje duur’, maar die keren was ik alleen. Echter heeft mijn zusjes enthousiasme op vakantie aanstekelijk gewerkt en heb ik dan éindelijk iets gekocht. Ik kocht de bekende lipscrub waar ik al veel over had gehoord en de‘Big‘ shampoo, waar ik eigenlijk nog nooit van had gehoord (ook al schijnt deze ook behoorlijk populair te zijn). Omdat ik echter heel stijl haar heb van mezelf en altijd op zoek ben naar goede producten om er volume in te krijgen, móest ik deze gewoon proberen. Het klonk zo veelbelovend! Bovendien ben ik al een grote fan van salt spray en daarom sprak het hoge gehalte aan zeezout mij enorm aan. Ook vond ik de rijstpuddingachtige structuur er heel interessant uit zien en daarnaast ruikt het heel lekker. Wel vond ik de prijs van 17,95 euro (een euro goedkoper dan in Nederland) een beetje hoog voor iets waarvan ik niet zeker wist of het zou werken. Gelukkig was mijn zusje ook heel benieuwd en besloten we het samen te kopen. Mochten we het fijn vinden dan zouden we het als het op is in Nederland (voor die ene euro meer) wel apart kopen. Echter denk ik dat dat nog wel een tijdje kan gaan duren, het potje (van 330 gram), lijkt namelijk heel lang mee te gaan. Een klein beetje is voldoende. De eerste keer maakte ik de fout een beste graai te doen in het potje, door de onbekende structuur wist ik namelijk niet hoeveel ik nodig zou hebben, waardoor ik een afro van schuim had. Niet doen dus, hiermee verspil je het product alleen maar onnodig. Het resultaat van deze shampoo zie je op de tweede foto. Van mezelf heb ik zoals ik zei onwijs stijl haar en voor mijn doen is dit (zonder enige producten erin) behoorlijk veel volume. Bovendien heb ik mijn haar hier behoorlijk goed geborsteld en van te voren een zilvershampoo (om mijn blonde haar mooi te houden) gebruikt. Als ik dit niet had gedaan, had ik misschien nog veel meer volume gehad. Ik ben dus heel enthousiast! Kennen of gebruiken jullie de Lush Big Shampoo al?

Somehow I always could managed to stop myself in the Lush store in Amsterdam by asking myself ‘Do I really need this?’ and ‘Isn’t this a bit expensive?’, but those times I was alone. My sister’s enthusiasm worked kind of contagious though and so I finally bought something. I bought the famous lipscrub of which I already heard many things and the ‘Big’ shampoo, of which I actually never heard before (although it seems to be pretty popular as well). Since I’ve got naturally very straight hair and am always looking for good products to achieve some volume, I just hád to try this one. It sounded so promising! Plus I’m already a big fan of salt spray and so the high amount of sea salt really appealed to me. I also thought the rice pudding ish structure looked kind of interesting and next to that it just smells really great. I did find the price of 17,95 euros (one euro cheaper than in Holland) a bit high of something of which I wasn’t sure if it would really work. Luckily my sister was very curious as well and we decided to buy it together. In case we liked it we would buy it again in Holland (screw that one euro) again. I actually think it will take a little while before that will happen though, since the can (of 330 gram) seems to last a long time. Only a tiny little bit is enough. The first time I made the mistake of grabbing too much, because of the unknown structure I didn’t know how much to use, which resulted in me having an afro of foam. So don’t do that, you will only spill the product for no reason. The result of this shampoo is visible in the second photo. I’ve got very straight hair like I told you and for me this (without using any other hair products afterwards) quite a lot of volume. I did brush my hair quite well though and used silver shampoo beforehand (to keep my blonde hair looking good). If I didn’t do this I might have even had more volume. So I’m very enthusiastic!
