We have done several posts over the last few months involving microwave ovens. I have found that the subject is very controversial with you guys. I am not sure I have ever had so many messages claiming microwaves are dangerous and should not be used etc. One of the most common messages I have received is along the lines of – if I had seen what microwaved water does to plants, I wouldn’t post about using them…
Ok so what does microwaved and cooled water do to plants when it is used to water them over a period of time? Well I actually saw an episode of Mythbusters where they tested this quite scientifically over a period of time, testing the same plants against tap water, microwaved water and also no water. Unfortunately this episode of Mythbusters isn’t currently available online, or I would have included it here.
