How to get massive texture in fine hair with Masterbraider

Hey babes. Meet Alix and her hair. She was one of my original ShamPHree testers and has been using her ShamPHree Kit for over a year.

Alix has found that her fine hair actually has a lot of texture and wave. Once she ditched the foamy-crack, her hair came alive in some really cool ways. No more silky straight flat hair here!

I had the pleasure of festival camping with Alix and her hair last month. Before going out into the Fair on Friday night, her and I did a little hairstylin’ and picture takin.

She wanted massive texture…..I thought Masterbraider texture spray, first off. Then, I thought fake dreads. And sweetgrass.

I misted her down with Masterbraider (lifting sections of hair and spraying it into the layers) I had her shake it out, then I took small clumps of hair at random and gently back-combed with my Mason P brush, and then rolled the sections in my palms back and forth, starting at the bottom and working my way up to create randomly placed fake dreads. I did 5 total, throughout her hair. Another mist of Masterbraider.

Then, I used the sweetgrass to braid into a few small braids for a pop of color and more texture. I wrapped one blade of grass tightly around the ends of one braid, and left the ends of the grass loose to unwind on its own throughout the night. I love some natural deconstruction:)

That evening, her hair passed the texture test in front of a yellow camper, on top of a truck, under a full moon, and chilling in a feild. That is why Masterbraider is awesome.
