When I Wake Up + DPI Magazine Feature

Here are some of the 1st things that I see when I wake up in the morning. People were asking me if I could have a room tour here on my blog. The problem is, the room isn’t finished yet, but I’ll be sure to do one in the future. It’s a small renovation project I started March 2012 that’s been taking too long to complete. The aim is to retain the French Neoclassical look, and all the furniture inside, but give it a lighter vibe. I usually wake up at 6:30 am regardless if I have work or not or even if I sleep at 2 am the previous night. I love the sunrise.

My work was featured in DPI Magazine Taiwan for their December issue. It came out just this January and I got my copy last week. It’s a very cool feeling that my work ended up on the cover. There are so many brilliant artists inside and they have featured prolific artists in the past. It’s so flattering to be part of it. I’m also a little embarrassed that my current folio is outdated. I haven’t been producing a lot of personal work lately.

One fun section is the 20×20 where I get to fill in some of my favorite and important stuff in a 20x20cm sheet. Aleyn‘s photo is there on the upper right. DPI Magazine Taiwan is a very beautiful magazine. They feature illustration work, furniture, decorative and ceramic design that would make you smile and rid of all your problems when you see them!
