The Love Story: FIRST DATE!

A little birdies, ahem bekah, noted that this story hadn't been updated in a few weeks...and well she was right. Soooo how about a first date? Shall we?
If you're new around here you can catch up here. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our first weekend as an official, even facebook said so now, couple was spent apart. Kevin and his buddies had a full fall semester planned of attending nearly all the football games both home and away. So our first "date" would be a late night movie when he returned on Sunday night.

2012, was my movie pick. If we were going to do this thing, he might as well know now that I had a weird fascination with end-of-the-world movies and the like. I know my end will be with my Jesus. Surprisingly Kevin was down for my crazy pick. He picked me up for a twenty minute drive to the the hippest movie theater in town, The Warren. The car ride was fairly normal, having been friends for over a year now, a simple car rise didn't seem much like a date. Even him picking me up didn't feel much like a date. Not until we got to the movie theater did I fully realize, this was a date.
We walked inside and Kevin bought our movie tickets. Being a Sunday night, the place was pretty quite, not to mention we were like nearly half an hour early to the show. We found an unoccupied bench and took a seat, and it was just us. No one else was with us. This wasn't a group activity. No, it was just me and Kevin.
Gazing at the various movie posters on the walls. Classics like Toy Story. made us think of our favorite childhood movies and soon conversation picked up to a comfortable place for us both. I was shocked when he hadn't seen my favorites and he was dumbfounded as to why I would have enjoyed movies like, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We chatted about our siblings and how they affected what movies and shows we would watch.
The theater finally opened and we made our way inside, The Grand Auditorium. I don't think there was anyone else in there but us, even if there actually were I wouldn't have noticed.
Just like that we shared our first movie theater movie, with our hands clasped the whole time.

My parents would be in town in five days. I had met his parents, but he had never met mine. I hoped they were prepared to meet my boyfriend of one week, more than that, I hoped Kevin was ready to be introduced to my crazy but completely wonderful family. Since the last relationship ended in such a difficult way, more than less over my family, this weekend was about to be a big teller in my book. I crossed my fingers and prayed all would go well.
