HOTEL TESTING

One of the many upsides of being a blogger is getting invitations to loads of fun events. Last weekend I was invited to be one of the first people to stay – stay meaning lunch, dinner, sleeping and breakfast – at the new Van Der Valk Hotel in Veenendaal. How could I resist? Van Der Valk is known for their old-fashioned, decent hotels, so I was surprised to see the wonderfully modern interior of this hotel. The place is carefully decorated and you can tell this is done by someone with a knack for details. I love hotels, because even when you’re pretty close to home, it still feels like you’re on a holiday. The perfect way to relax after a long working week if you ask me. I didn’t take any pics of the room (besides the ones I posted on Instagram this weekend), but I can tell you it was just as beautiful, with a killer bath as main highlight. If you’re ever in the province of Utrecht, this is the hotel you want to be at. And don’t forget to order their beet risotto, it’s delish!
