Skincare On Trial: New In.

It seems like I either lost some of my skincare in the move (we still haven’t unpacked all the boxes) or everything I use finished up at the same time, because I was really lacking a skincare routine until recently. I had to actually raid my skincare drawer for things to try! Luckily I had a few products on hand to see me through…

The first is the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel (£28), this is the second cleanser from Oskia that I’ve tried - the first being their amazing Perfect Cleansing Balm (£32.50). I know everyone speaks highly of this stuff, so I was hoping it would fill a gap in my skincare routine. This aims to remove makeup while also helping to slough away dead skin cells, giving life to skin and generally helping to improve the appearance and condition of the complexion. The light gel is easy to massage in and super easy to remove, so it’s already in my good books! Despite being called a gel, it’s not at all drying and it works wonders on my combination skin type.

Also here are the Aveda Blemish Relief Pads (£23), my skin has been breaking out a whole lot recently so I’ve used a couple of these to try and tame the breakouts. I usually wouldn’t go near blemish pads but these don’t seem overly harsh, and in my desperation I gave them a go. So far, my skin is looking a whole lot better so I’m going to keep up with applications a few times a week, just to encourage the blemishes to heal and to prevent new ones from appearing. I’ll keep you posted on my progress with these – it’s still early days but I’m pretty impressed so far.

Finally, the Body Shop Nutriganics Drops Of Youth (£24); I’ve been in dire need of a new nightly treatment and these drops fit the bill. They’re ideal for ‘first signs of ageing’ skin which I’m not sure is quite me (I’m 23) but I really like the smoothing formula. The light serum aims to improve the condition and texture of skin, helping to induce a lovely radiant glow in skin. They also help to nourish and revive the complexion, which is pretty much all I need from a treatment! They’re quite pricey for The Body Shop but I prefer to go a little more premium with my skincare as I know it will make a difference in the long run.

Have you tried any of these offerings?
