Two More Blemish Busters…

I think I’ve come to accept that I’m always going to have problem skin, I’m just prone to blemishes and I can only help to clear them up and attempt to prevent them, rather than rid my skin of them altogether. Luckily, I have quite a few skincare treats on hand to help me out…

S5 Neutralise Cleanser, £28 is a top product for me right now. This all-natural skincare brand is made by the same people that created NUDE Skincare (another favourite of mine) and I can really see the resemblance in a lot of their products. This cleanser is a light, non-foaming gel/cream – it’s taken me a little while to get used to the formulation as I usually like something that lathers up even slightly, or at least changes texture as I apply. This does neither, it stays soft and slightly creamy until you rinse it away. It’s packed full of gentle but skin nourishing ingredients that serve to cleanse and purify awkward, problem skin. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and it’s now my regular morning and night cleanser! Blemishes be gone.

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, £21.50 is a little something my skin has been fond of as a detox treat for stressed out skin. I know Kiehl’s isn’t exactly a natural brand, but my skin really gets along with their formulations so they’re a regularly used brand for me. This is a lovely clay mask that actually clears out pores and really works to clear up the skin, after use I actually notice a difference in my complexion. Plus the tub is huuuge so you really get your money’s worth! I spread it on once a week, usually on a sunday night while I wait for my bath to run, and leave it on until it’s dry. I remove it with a warm face cloth and then continue with my usual skincare routine.
It’s one of the only clay masks I’ve tried that just doesn’t dry out my skin at all, meaning I can use it throughout winter and not worry about dehydrated skin. Lovely!

Have you tried either of these?
