Kate La Vie

Super Nourishing Winter Staples.

I don’t know about you lot, but I feel parched. Everything from my lips to my skin to my hair feels like it’s already suffering, and winter has barely shown its face. To deal with this I’ve got a little routine on the go, in a bid to make me feel like less of a raisin.

Aurelia Skincare Miracle Cleanser (£34) is an absolute must for this time of year, I remember thinking that it completely saved me last year so I knew I would have a fresh pot waiting for the depths of winter 2k14. This uses probiotic and peptide technologies to hydrate, brighten and purify the complexion, while also working to infuse the skin with only the best natural ingredients. It smells incredible and feels beautiful to apply – I adore smearing it on after a long day as it just feels so instantly relieving on dry, dehydrated skin! Plus it removes everything – even tough mascara. Woweee.

Nourish Argan Skin Rescue (£18.90) is a new in product for me, but one I’m keeping stashed in my skincare drawer for regular applications. I’m all over this brand Nourish, their affordable skincare has saved my skin in recent weeks and they have a truly brilliant range of products. This little treatment oil aims to nourish and revive a dull, lifeless complexion while also helping to balance the skin, reduce the formation of wrinkles and help to clear up signs of blotchy skin associated with acne, psoriasis and eczema. It smells delicious and feels lovely to apply too.

AESOP Resurrection Hand Balm (£19) – if you’re in the market for a new hand cream, look no further than this flawless wonder. This is intensely hydrating and super rich, but it sinks in beautifully (ie no sticky feeling) and it smells just heavenly. I’m not even a citrus fan but even I can’t get enough of this zesty scent! I actually have to ration this gorgeous cream otherwise I would cocoon myself in it.

Lanolips 101 Ointment (£10.99); I had heard so much about this stuff before I purchased it, it just seemed like the ultimate lip balm. I bought it on a whim recently when my lips just felt horrendous when I was out, and I haven’t looked back – it’s silky, smoothing, instantly hydrating and it doesn’t have a gross scent or taste. You can apply it on any dry or rough patches too, so I think it’s going to be a winner for when my winter cold sets in.

The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum (£7) my hair always shows signs of neglect come winter, it seems to look so dull and unruly so I always need to give it lots of attention! Recently I’ve been smoothing through this beautiful serum and my hair has been looking so healthy. It’s light enough to be slathered all over fine hair, but nourishing enough to seal in moisture and help the ends of my hair looks soft and silky. So far, so good.

Have you got a winter routine in place?
