Day in the Life: 19 Weeks Pregnant

Good Morning!

Phew, after this week we’ll be half way through this pregnancy! I’m doing my best to take things day by day and enjoying every stage.

I’m 19 weeks as on Monday and Baby Adams is the size of a Mango! I’m starting to feel some little movements and there’s no denying that I’m bumpin’.

I took this classy bump photo in the bathroom before the wedding over the weekend and I think you can definitely see the bump! Speaking of the weekend, it had me completely spent, so I spent Monday relaxing with no plans. It was glorious!

The day started out with Kodiak Cakes, Bacon and Coffee that Rich made for me after I begged him. I had no hesitation pulling the pregnancy card!

I woke up feeling exhausted, so I laid around all morning and skipped yoga class. I had no guilt as it was a crazy weekend and my legs were sore from dancing and heels on Satuday night!

After a bit I worked up some energy and powered through my three favorite pregnancy strength videos. After 30 minutes, I was definitely feeling it. It’s amazing how much more tired my workouts make me lately, let’s hope I can continue the next 20 weeks!

My workout gave me a bit of energy, so I spent some time meal prepping for the week. The extra day gave me some room to drag things out, so it was nice to enjoy my prepping and not have to rush this week.

I never ate lunch, but instead snacked all afternoon. I had some watermelon and roasted vegetables while prepping and followed it up with a mini bag of Garrett’s popcorn from Sunday’s baby shower and a big glass of lemonade. I can’t get enough of lemonade lately, it has to be my #1 craving!

While I prepped and snacked, Rich did his homework and when he was done we decided to head outside. We took Penny for a 2 mile walk. After that, I was truly spent so I was happy to have a relaxing evening ahead of me.

For dinner Rich and I worked together to make the most delicious holiday meal. We made hasselback potatoes and steak with chimichurri sauce. I had never made either, but it was such a delicious meal! I throughly enjoyed the relaxing evening, it was SO nice to have a day to do nothing!

Of course after dinner I had room for dessert so we headed out for ice cream and a plain slush for Penny. I have zero guilt these days about ice cream and I’m loving enjoying myself.

I think I’m doing a great job of taking care of myself while still enjoying being pregnant and I have a feeling that these will be lessons I carry with me even after pregnancy!

How was your holiday weekend? What’s your favorite way to send a day off?

I’m linking up with Jenn to share my WIAW of pregnancy eats. Head on over to join the foodie fun!
