Swapping My Leather Biker for the M&S Paisley Print Jacket

Raise your hand if you’ve spent the last six months dressed in a black leather jacket. I’m guessing about 75% of you have your hands in the air right now. Am I right?

My quilted leather biker got me through Autumn/Winter, but now that the temperature has started to rise it feels a too heavy and dark for spring. However, we’re still in that tricky transseasonal stage where you do need to wear a jacket of some sort, which is why I was happy to discover Marks and Spencer’s paisley print biker trophy jacket (£59).

It’s part of the M&S Leading Ladies campaign, and is modelled by Lulu Kennedy of Fashion East. Bohemian influences always catch my eye (I hit my teens just as Sienna Miller burst onto the scene with her boho-chic style), and this jacket immediately made me think of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s low-key LA look. However, when it came to styling it I suppressed my Zoebot tendencies and opted for a simple combination of black skinny jeans, ballet pumps and a grey T-shirt. It’s Audrey Hepburn meets Rachel Zoe. This is me pretending to admire a hanging flower arrangement. I’m expecting an Oscar nomination any day now!
