My Style: Four Ways to Wear Uniqlo Denim This Autumn
I’ve had a very long relationship with Uniqlo jeans. I first fell for their fit, quality and affordability when I was in college, and I continue to wear the brand’s classic denim to this day. Needless to say, we’re going steady and I expect my favourite skinny fit tapered jeans will get down on one knee and pop the question any day now.
However, this season they’ll have to fight for my attention, because Uniqlo are introducing a new style to their denim collection for Autumn/Winter 2014. Ladies, say hello to the ultra stretch ankle zip jeans. With 40% stretch they’re unbelievably comfortable, and the zip detail looks fantastic with heels and flats (I like the idea of wearing them unzipped for a cheeky flash of ankle).
Uniqlo invited me to style both the skinny fit tapered jeans and the new ultra stretch ankle zip jeans with their first drop of AW14, and I happily obliged. This season they’re really going to town with bold prints and vivid colours, so it was an absolute delight to work with the collection.
