Five Days of Bobble Hats

You know the MC Hammer U Can’t Touch This lyrics, “Stop. Hammer time”? Well, for some reason, whenever I wear a bobble hat I want to sing, “Stop. Beanie time”. I’m not sure if I picked up this idiosyncrasy from TV or a friend – or whether it’s just a sign I’ve gone completely insane and need the Christmas break to hurry up already – but it’s pretty damn weird. And as I’m wearing bobble hats on a near daily basis at the moment it’s also started to become quite annoying.

Here is an example of my typical week in headwear. So, as you can see, there are plenty of opportunities for me to break into a “Stop. Beanie time” rap (or recite my favourite beanie-motto, “the bigger the bobble, the better the day”).

Monday: Anthropologie pom-pom bobble hat, £38
Tuesday: Next Panda hat, past season (similar here)
Wednesday: Chinti and Parker bobble hat, past season
Thursday: Bobbl merino wool hat, from £50 c/o
Friday: Tommy Hilfiger wool hat, £60 c/o

I think it’s impossible to own too many bobble hats, and am always adding to my collection. Here are some of the styles I’m currently coveting…

1. River Island 2. The North Circular 3. Anthropologie 4. Eugenia Kim 5. Accessorize 6. Next 7. Missoni 8. Topshop

Are you also obsessed with bobble hats? Which of these designs are your favourites? Leave a comment and let me know.
