Wardrobe Wednesday: Temperley London’s Rodeo Blouse

This past weekend, we were wonderfully surprised with a new portrait of the Cambridges. The cheeks, the smiles, the puppy love – it was absolute perfection! The photograph, taken by Jason Bell from a window at Kensington Palace, will surely become an iconic image of domestic royal bliss.

After much dissemination of ruffle width and fabric sheerness, it was decided that Kate wore the Temperley London “Rodeo” blouse. The white blouse is made of a sheer silk-cotton blend. It features pleated shoulders, scalloped lace panels, and a collarless neckline.

Temperley London “Rodeo” Blouse

Kate originally debuted the Rodeo blouse at the rodeo – appropriately – during the North American Tour in 2011. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Calgary Stampede Parade in July 2011. Kate paired her Temperley London Rodeo blouse with a Smithbilt hat, Gold Sign jeans, and turquoise drop earrings.

The Duchess of Cambridge is well known as the “recycling duchess” – a title that makes you love her and hate journalists who create those headlines .The blouse was the perfect neutral piece for the portrait, creating a simple backdrop for George’s adorable jumper and his very large cheeks. It wouldn’t be a proper “Kate-sighting” if we didn’t provide you with some repliKates to get the look for your own family portrait (or just a trip to the grocery store – your call!)More Amy Byer…
