Keeping Up with the Cambridges- July 13
The Cambridge family kept a low profile this week, but us Royal aficianados were able to catch a glimpse of them on the screen in the CNN special “The Little Prince”. The 30 minute segment aired on Friday at 10pm EST and reviewed Prince George’s adorable first year. It was a great way to spend a quiet night in, and I hope you all got to enjoy it! Now on to the news…
This Week:
- July 8- Cover stars! On Tuesday we learned that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George graced the cover of Vanity Fair magazine for the August issue. The happy family’s picture is from their recent New Zealand and Australian tour on the day they visited the Sydney Zoo. Being that Prince George will be turning 1 later in the month, we couldn’t think of a better cover! The magazine will take a look back at Cheeks’ first year as the future King of England. Vanity Fair is on newsstands now.
- July 9- Royal shoes are back! On Wednesday it came to light that the Corkswoon wedges that Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge owns in navy have been restocked in all sizes on super shoe site Zappos.com. The suede and cork platforms are from Stuart Weitzman and retail for $398. These add great height and look stylish dressed up or down!

- July 9- A trip to Malta in the future? On Wednesday it surfaced that The Duchess of Cambridge may be making her first solo trip to Malta in September to mark the 50th anniversary of independence from Great Britain. For those of you who don’t know, Malta is a Southern Europe country located in the Mediterranean Sea and won its freedom on September 21, 1964. This year would mark the Golden Jubilee, and Kate is said to be the guest of honor. No official word yet, but keep your eyes and ears peeled!
- July 9- Royal reply! On Wednesday, it was reported that the children of St. Andrew’s Primary school in Yetminster received very special mail from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Each student wrote to Their Royal Highnesses in an effort to convince them to let Prince George attend the school when he is older. William and Kate were very impressed with the letters, that each student received their own reply! I guess we’ll have to see if they get their wish…
