Kate and William Attend Conservation Reception at British Consul General’s Residence in New York

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by Secretary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, attended this evening a Conservation reception at the British Consul General’s Residence in New York City. It was a previously unscheduled engagement for Kate, who had been scheduled to have a rest before partaking in this evening’s basketball game in Brooklyn, but a very good sign for fans of the Duchess as this is a clear and obvious sign that she is feeling well and energetic enough to participate.

The reception was organised by the Royal Foundation in recognition of the conservation work carried out by Tusk and United for Wildlife partners: Wildlife Conservation Society; Conservation International; and The Nature Conservancy.

We were unsure what Kate would wear for this engagement as she was not scheduled to attend, but she chose a new outfit which we were thrilled to see. Kate chose an American designer in Tory Burch and her Bettina coat, black J Brand maternity jeans, black suede pumps and finished off the look with a Mulberry clutch. Her hair was down and a fantastic look for the Duchess for this impromptu event – and likely we’ll see the same outfit minus the coat inside the Barclays Arena for the NBA game next.
