SHAKE MY COCKTAIL

A couple of weeks ago, I got the opportunity to attend a cocktail making workshop courtesy of the people behind the People’s Association. I couldn’t say no, anything to do with having delicious food or drinks in my mouth is my kinda thing. I knew nothing much about the workshop but went anyway and learn that the People’s Association are the same group that come up with fun workshops for the public to join in their relative community clubs. It came much as a surprise to me because I grew up with the stereotype that these courses offered were meant for older people but I looked through their brochure and there were more than just a few cooking courses I was genuinely interested in. And the cocktail workshop turned out to be a lot of fun as well. I did learn a thing or two about making my own and they did turn out very yummy. I guess we did get a little tipsy at 4 in the afternoon, but accompanied by delicious pizza served by SOPRA (where the workshop was conducted- at the Pan Pacific hotel, great atmosphere!) which is beautiful by the way, everyone was having more than a regular Saturday afternoon. You can view the brochure here , to see a list of the other courses they provide for the month of March thru May. I’ve been dying to learn how to cook local Singaporean food so the cooking courses really do interest me. I was so glad that the location the PA chose for the workshop was fun and really nice to be in, making the experience a whole lot more engaging as well with our lovely instructor who taught us what it takes to shake a good cocktail. You can find out more about the People’s Association here. And sign up for their courses here. Thank you for arranging such a lovely afternoon! I had a great time.
