We have three weeks left until the Big One starts Middle School. I can’t believe it. My heart hurts a lot. I can’t believe how big he’s gotten. We’re dealing with a new school, a new starting time for school, lockers (and the anxiety-inducing combination locks), changing classes, cell phones, and girls (but that is for another blog post, sigh!) It’s a lot for me to process. I’m not sure how the Big One is doing handling all this, as I’ve found that tween boys talk even less than school-aged boys. Regardless, I wanted him to get back to school with a few Mom Made supplies, especially from me. As Minecraft is still big around our house, I decided to make a few Minecraft Inspired Back to School Supplies.
I used the Creeper image that I created at Christmas for my ornaments. If you are interested in the cut file, just check out the original post here. I also used the Minecrafter font that is available free at DaFont.com to create the words “Pencils and Pens.” Isn’t the little creeper in the “A,” cute?
Guess what? This post is a part of a big series of Back to School Ideas that is being hosted by The Benson Street. There are a bunch of other wonderful ideas all over the blogosphere that are being shared to get your and your family ready for Back to School. In fact, to give y’all no excuse to check them out, here’s the linky to all 45 wonderful projects.
