NAGG Day 28 - Art Nouveau Nail Art

Double post day! Today is the final day of Nail Art A Go Go and our prompt is "Art Nouveau". The nail fairies were not nice to me yesterday a few hours before I sat down to do this. I had the biggest ouchie nail break that I've had in years. Seriously painful. It was on the thumb on my swatching hand which blows. I will be doing some creative hand posing and picture editing until it is suitable for public viewing again. I'm on the fence about today's nail art. I like them but I don't know how "art noveau-ish" they are.

For this design I used MoYou London Mother Nature Plate 05. This was my first time using a full image plate and I definitely need more practice! I opted for the rose,scroll and water fountain images on the plate.
Colors used: Essie Sand Tropez (base color) Sinful Colors Black on Black Essie Good As Gold

I used my small detailing brush to add bits of Good As Gold to the design. The design isn't as crisp as I would have liked but the gold details really pop in person. I was so tempted to start all over again but I had already worked on two posts and two nail art designs and was pooped!


I have to give a shout out to Missy at Gnarly Gnails for conceiving the idea and organizing Nail Art A Go Go. This was one of the most creative challenges I have been a part of. And a lot of fun as well!
