Hen Party Planning

After weeks of deliberating Lucy has decided on her hen party destination. In May 2015 we will be traveling to Bath to celebrate Lucy’s last few weeks as a singleton. She’s not really a party girl so instead of having a big night out we’re spreading the celebrations over 3 days and choosing more unusual activities to make the weekend fun for all those invited. We haven’t booked any of activities yet as we’re still compiling the final guestlist, but we’ve got a few ideas of things we want to see and do while in the beautiful historic city of Bath.

This is an interactive puzzle solving activity that sees you split into teams, and the object of the game is to use the clues and riddles found in a locked room to plan your escape within 60 minutes. With one activity named The Haunted House Escape, we thought this would be perfect to cater to Lucy’s love of all things spooky and scary.

If you’re a regular visitor to the blog you will know Lucy and I are a creative pair, hence its name, so it couldn’t be more fitting for her hen do than to make a keep-sake or two. At The Makery they give you the choice of many activities such as life drawing, jewellery making, knicker embellishing and bath bomb making, to name just a few. You can even take along your own drinks and nibbles to keep the fun flowing.

Even though Lucy is not one for getting ridiculously drunk, she still enjoys a good drink. That’s why we thought the perfect activity for the Saturday night would be cocktail making. It’s the perfect icebreaker for the group as there will be people there meeting for the first time, and it’s a good chance for people to get to know each other over mixing some drinks.

What civilised ladies weekend away is complete without a champagne afternoon tea. I’m sure lots of sandwiches and scones will be eaten and lots of tea drunk, and maybe even a glass or two of the bubbly stuff. We plan to partake in a bit of retail therapy while in Bath so this will be the perfect opportunity for us to rest our tired feet after a few hours of traipsing around the shops.
