Autumn lounge change around

I love the idea of changing your home as the seasons go by, it doesn’t have to be in a huge way, but perhaps in just a small way – a nod to what mother nature is doing outside, however while small is doable, that doesn’t stop me dreaming big.

This autumn I would love to bring some change to my lounge and for the little touches. I would start by adding some sort of floor lamp to the room, while darkness happens where ever in the year you happen to be, with the evenings drawing in, it is much more noticeable that the light is fading and while I am still trying to work, a good lamp would make blogging and reading a lot more lit up.

I adore cushions and Pierrot et Coco have just a wonderful collection of them, from spots to zigzags and random splashes of colour. However for me, it just has to be, this gorgeous elephant print number; just check them walking out two by two.

I’m not one for a mirrors, I mean they just let you see yourself, but this one just captured my heart. I love just how different it is from the norm with its sun shine look and I have to admit it reminds me more of an autumn sun than a summer one.

I love my home, but some things are definitely getting on a bit now and one of those in the sofa (yes I did accidently stick my knee through it in one place) and it is most definitely not as comfortable as it once was. So while window shopping for the perfect seat I came across this beauty from Cookes Furniture. Hand crafted in Derbyshire this gorgeous three seater sofa is also a recliner, making it so easy to relax in style.

Last but by no means least, is this beautiful solid oak table – I am always drawn to oak, I love the colour and the grain and with the two draws it would make for the perfect way to add a little extra storage into the home.

How about you, do you often dream of changing your rooms with the seasons?
