The Grail Box: Monthly Subscription Box

I’m back with another Subscription Box post, this one I am really excited about as it is perhaps something not many of you will have come across before and something others of you maybe big fans of and that is Pop Vinyls.

Pop Vinyls are made by Funko and are a sort of collectable figure, at retail they are really quite affordable, with some figures gaining in value depending on exclusivity and availability. The term Grail comes from the item collectors really want – for some people this is a rare figure, which can costs over £100 to buy, for others it maybe a common one they really want, it all depends on collecting style and wants.

So where does the Grail Box come in?
Grail Box is a US based company, which offers not only the chance to buy pops, but also the ability to sign up to their subscription service. This monthly subscription (which can either be brought as a one of payment or in a six month bundles) offers a surprise pop in each box and the exciting bit is, you have the chance to get a rare pop.

To give you an idea on the odds, there were 60 boxes up for grabs in November with the odds of being lucky enough to get a grail being 1 in 7.5.

So what did my box hold?

Bee-Do Bee-Do it’s the fire alarm minion from Despicable Me 2!

While this wasn’t one of the grail items for November – I have to say I am totally over the moon with it (and may have been keeping my fingers crossed that either this or Hula Minion just so happened to be in my box).

If you’re worried about not getting anything you would like in the box, Grail Box actually post the grails before ordering opens and will later post the commons, meaning you can pick and choose if you order from one month to the next depending on what is up for grabs.

How much does it cost?
Grail Box costs $14.98 shipped within the US and for international it is $24.98 (around £16). If you have any queries the people behind it are really nice.

There isn’t a Grail Box up at the moment, but there is one due for January so make sure you keep an eye on the Grail Box website and their Facebook page to keep up to date with all the goings on. (I may just have heard rumours of a competition being launched soon via their Facebook page – but shh I didn’t tell you that).

What do you think of Funko Pop Vinyl’s and the Grail Box?

*I received this particular Grail Box for review purposes, however I have brought them before myself.
