With DLW deploying soon, we wanted the try and find out the gender during our 13 week NT scan. Even a guess would be better than waiting until 20 weeks and telling DLW over Facetime.
Almost immediately after the tech started the ultrasound, DLW looked at the screen and said, "Is that a leg?!"
Knowing that we wanted to find out, the tech followed DLW's question up with, "Yeah but this isn't..."
Baby W is a BOY!

The tech then explained the "angle of the dangle" theory and said he is 90% sure Baby W is a boy. In 16 years, he has only ever been wrong when people pressured him to guess when he didn't feel confident. Keep your fingers crossed that nothing changes between now and 20 weeks!
I don't think I will ever forget the huge smile on DLW's face when he found out he's having a son. He has wanted a son since long before I came along and I am happy I am able to give one to him in September.

Baby Boy W already has a name but we are going to keep that to ourselves for now (sorry). We spent most of the weekend discussing baby room ideas and even picked out a couple outfits! Knowing that we're having a boy has made this pregnancy feel more "real" and I am finally starting to get excited about what's to come!
