Recently I had a visit to my Auntie Beryl. I spoke of her before. She has stage 4 breast cancer.
She is still the most inspirational person on the planet. Though her situation has gotten a tad more grim. She was getting chemo, but that is not helping anymore so they have started radiation treatments. During all of this, she has remained cheery, upbeat and positive. A lady in her 70's, she has lived and continues to live.... in fact, her and my mom went to bingo last Saturday afternoon.
Now that I've updated you to that whole scenario, I will end on a more positive note.
My post is not actually about my visit, which to be honest was short-lived thanks to the bingo trip. Instead I have this for you:

Did you know they come in an array of colors? They do. There is actually 525-600 species of this plant. How cool is that?!
I love them, as delicate as they are, they are stunning with their bursts of color.
One tidbit I learned about them when I looked them up on Wikipedia, is they are used as a medicinal ingredient for anti-HIV medication. I thought that was neat info.
So what do you think of the violet?
