5k for Beginners 6-Week Training Plan

In the funniest twist of fate ever, I, the girl who does not love running, am organizing a 5k. And, it gets even better…my co-director {partner? co-organizer? … not sure what our titles are supposed to be} does not love chocolate. So, of course, the runner who hates chocolate and the chocolate-lover who hates running are organizing a chocolate themed 5k. Did you catch all that? It’s getting crazy around here guys. Super crazy. You might even say it’s loco. {Did you see what I did there? Our race is called the Loco Coco 5k, awesome right?!}

Planning this has actually been a blast and I know the day of the race is going to be even more fun! Yes, there will be running involved, but there will also be a food drive (service points guys! :), dressing funky and fun, a free photo booth (I’m going to photo bomb you all), and a hot chocolate bar with Stephen’s Hot Chocolate and all kinds of fun mix-ins (save a free treat that week!)!!

And, don’t worry if you are not a runner! We can be BFFs, plus I’ve created a super simple 6-week training plan to get you ready! If you start Monday, October 6th (did you hear that green challenge group?), you’ll be all ready to run with us on November 15th!

Just click on the image below to print your free 5k For Beginners 6-Week Training Plan! Register for the Loco Coco 5k right {here}, get running/jogging/walking, and I’ll see you on November 15th!!

*NOTE: Definitely talk to your doctor before starting this or any other exercise program. I am not a doctor or a trainer. This training plan was adapted from 5k training plans found here, here, and here.
