The Best Skinny Jeans

Real life: I’ve never been into jeans. I don’t like ‘em, they’re too stiff, and they’re not black. All of the nopes. Not for me. I’d rather wear leather leggings and an oversized knit and call it a day. My office sometimes even allows jeans on particular casual Fridays but I’ve never been one to partake in this monstrosity. Because jeans. But you can only wear your 8 pair of black leather leggings so many times before your friends start to think you’re starting a punk rock band and maybe, just maybe, a decent pair of jeans would be nice to wear on a super casual Friday…

I scooped this pair of skinnies during H&M’s Black Friday sale since I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about them and didn’t want to spend a fortune on something that wasn’t a sure thing. They arrived last night and I was just as smitten with them as I’d been when I found them online; They have a little stretch, are super dark, and almost have a little slickness to them. They’re the most buttery pair of skinnies I’ve found for $29 bucks and completely worth purchasing. I ordered two more in the dark wash and one in the lighter distressed wash. I never thought I’d see the day but I’m sitting pretty in a pair of jeans I love.

That bunchy thing most ‘skinny jeans’ do when you try to tuck ‘em into your boots? Nope. They’re tight enough, without being restricting, to fit perfectly into snug boots. 5’8″ like me? They fall below my ankle. Bee-low. My. Ankle. If you’re an amazon like me you know how important this is in a pair of pants that aren’t specially made for you. Thank you, sweet denim god in heaven. The verdict? Buy 5.
