Camp Bestival 2014 Highlights

Phew! What a weekend… once again we had an amazing weekend at Camp Bestival, I’ll write a proper review post soon, but for now, here are a few of our highlights from this years festival!

Dingly Dell

Once again, the Dingly Dell was a hit with the girls. They were desperate to get there and see the peacock again and play in the park. We took advantage of some of the fun activities that were on offer, including making little creatures out of clay. Plus, the cool of the woods was a great escape from the sun at times!

Art Tent

The art tent came in a close second this year, the girls, especially Kiki and Baya had a great time in there. We made hula hoops, a man for the human trapeze, a big top and lots more!

Jousting

Horse-mad Baya’s favourite! We enjoyed watching the Jousting last year, and it was just as much fun again this time too.

Storytime

We saw Howard Marks twice reading stories, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Friday night, and then on the Saturday on the Bandstand. We also caught Jo Whiley and Rob Da Bank reading other Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too. Kids loved it, and it was the perfect way to chill out for an hour or so before the evening started.

James

I only caught the first couple of songs, as Baya was exhausted, so we headed back to the tent and left G and the other girls watching. They enjoyed the show very much and said they were great!

The Caravan of Lost Souls

We came across these twice by accident, and absolutely loved them. Such a fun cabaret show – the girls were entranced and so were we.

Fireworks

We were all looking forward to the fireworks, remembering how amamazing they were last year. We were truly blown away by just how spectacular this years display was – with Lulworth Castle as a backdrop they were the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
