I received this book as part of Amazons First Look Kindle program. It's really great to have a book I can read anytime - I use the Kindle app in my phone (which I always have with me). I still prefer a good ole paper book, but nothing beats the convenience of ebooks.

I really enjoyed this novel by Phyllis T Smith. Historical fiction was totally my jam back in high school, but it's been quite some time since I've delved into a book from that genre. I Am Livia tells the story of the wife of Caesar Octavius, the political heir of Julius Caesar. While the heroine fell into some stereotypical tropes of being not-like-other-women and just-as-smart-as-any-man, I liked the unique historical setting and familiar characters.
