This is what's going on

Lots of sketching lately. I find it both relaxes and challenges, and slowly, skills are sharpening.

I've also become slightly obsessed with typography and hand-lettering. My inspirations are quotes from songs; they work well I'm this situation and I often get tired of regular inspirational quotes because they are so over used.

And finally, museum visits. Yesterday we went to Pasadena and spent some time at the Norton Simon Museum. This little man by Edouard Manet (The Ragpicker) so moved me that I spent a few moments sketching him, while my husband captured it unbeknownst to me.
Things are good.
