iPhoneography & Coulrophobia

Oh I know these photos are terribly mean. I think all of us have just a little bit of Coulrophobia. Yep. That's the official term for a fear of clowns. And like so many kids in the 80's, I formed my own issues when spending the night at my Nan and Pop's house, watching Steven King's IT on late night TV. With the start of American Horror Story and one of it's main characters, Twisty, I'm reminded of the spine tingling effect of a good scary clown. So when we were invited to a scary clown Halloween party I was thrilled. A $5 plastic mask and a psychedelic vintage dress and I think I'm good to go. Can you think of a creepier theme for a Halloween night party?

I used two iPhone apps for these photos. One, the ever popular and supreme VSCOcam. The other, a not as well known Average Cam Pro . It's not flashy, but has lots of options to test and can result in some very unique long exposure photos. A solid tip in using this app to it's full potential is to either lean your photo up against something or use a tripod. I bought a little suction cup one for a couple bucks at the checkout somewhere. It works fine.

It's always fun to find new ways to enjoy iPhoneography. What are your favorites?
