I've seen so many cards done with this set, but none quite like this one. Of course, *I* would say that, wouldn't I?
Originally, this was going to be for my big workshop, but I had done heat embossing last time with those ladies and didn't want to do it this time. I still have a couple projects to show from that workshop, but I'll get to them, don't you fear!
For this card, I started out thinking about using white embossing powder and trying to go for a more gingerbread house look, so I got busy with some Crumb Cake cardstock. As it turned out, this didn't look ANYTHING like gingerbread, more like New York brownstone houses, so I went with that instead, and deepened the color palate for a slightly vintage look.
Sometimes I think I should show you a pile of the stuff that didn't work on a card before I get to the stuff that finally does, but I made this one quite some time ago and don't have the rejects! There were QUITE a few though. But it was worth it! Lookie:
GOJUS! (YILM!) One of the hard parts was getting Santa and his sleigh in just the right spot on the big moon. Another look:
All the houses were stamped on Crumb Cake, embossed with white EP, and then colored with regular markers. I love the tiny star stamp stamped on the Lost Lagoon background with Whisper White ink.
