NEST // A CORNER TO DREAM IN

I recently rearranged my 'dining room' area for a photoshoot I was working for the boho collective, and fell in love with it so much I decided to make it permanent, with a few tweaks. I used to have a dining room table there, that we never ever use. It basically was a mail collector. So I moved it over to the other side of the room (Ill share that part soon), and left this space wide open. James and I found this beautiful rug at World Market and thought it would be perfect for this space. I love all of the neutral and white tones in this space. It is so calming and relaxing. I am borrowing this pretty wicker chair from a friend for some photoshoots, but Ive been on the hunt for my own for a long time. I know one day she will find me.

My mom had this beautiful huge dreamcatcher hanging in our mudroom in the house I grew up in for as long as I can remember. It is one of my most treasured pieces. My Nanna recently just gave me her tambourine and it fits so perfectly in this space. My mom also handmade the butterfly embroidery when she was younger. I love keeping these special pieces in my home where I can see them everyday. To me, these are the things that make a home, as far as decor is concerned. But I'm also a very sentimental soul.

I'm so happy with this corner of my house now, where just a week ago it was a source of dead end frustration b/c of the placement of the table and the things constantly piling up on it. A simple rearrangement of things can make all the difference!
