Homemade Applesauce

Hey there! Are you back in the swing of things after the holidays? The kids are back at school and I am meal planning for the week....and thinking we need to eat healthy this week...and the next...and the next.
So I thought I'd share a snack with you.
Lately I have been making our own applesauce. It's super easy and so delicious! I don't add a thing and the kids love it!
Buy one bag (or more) of organic apples. Peel, core and slice the apples, adding them to a big pot. Add a bit of water (like 1/2 cup or so) to help things along. Cook the apples over medium heat for about 25-30 minutes, stirring once in a while. When the apples are cooked through, use a blender, food processor or immersion blender (my favorite) to purée the apples.
That's it! Transfer to mason jars and store in the fridge!
