Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My card today features those cute little Forest Mushrooms. My favorite is the teensy one.
I lightly sponged Shabby Shutters distress ink over the Memory Box Garden Leafy Branches stencil to create a very subtle background on a cream colored piece of card stock cut slightly smaller than an A2 card base. At the bottom of the piece, I lightly sponged Frayed Burlap distress ink for the ground.
I die cut the mushroom tops from red card stock and the stems from a light tan, sponged Frayed Burlap around the edges of all the mushroom pieces, and added the white dots to the tops. I glued down the stems first. I then curved the tops, and adhered them above the stems, applying glue just on the ends for a 3-D look. I tucked the greenery behind the mushrooms as shown, and added two shades of Flower Soft around the bottoms of the stems and scattered across the bottom of the card.
I die cut the Hello Word Balloon from black card stock and snipped out the “hello”, adhering as shown. I couldn’t resist cutting one more teensy mushroom and adding it in front of the word. After adding a few green gemstones, I used mounting tape to adhere the assembled piece to the card base.
