ROOFTOP

Una de las cosas que me enamoró de Roma, cuando iba paseando por el Viale della Trinitá dei Monti (un paseo en alto que une la Plaza de España y la Plaza del Poppolo) fue la vista de los tejados de la ciudad. Casi todos tenían terrazas con plantas, mesas, tumbonas e incluso máquinas de deporte. Tenían mucha vida en las azoteas y el conjunto era precioso.Es como un pedacito de paz en medio del caos. Parece mentira que encuentres tanto relax en medio de la ciudad. Los áticos y las azoteas tienen algo especial. Cuando salimos en mi casa a la terraza a tomar el sol o a comer en primavera no se oye a penas la calle, es como un pequeño jardín privado, un lujo asiático tener esto y justo debajo el centro de Madrid.
One of the things that I love about Rome, when I was walking along the Viale della Trinita dei Monti (a walk up linking the Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Poppolo) was the view over the city rooftops. Almost all of them had plants, tables, chairs and even sport machines. They had a lot of life on the rooftops and the whole thing was wonderful. It is like a bit of peace in the middle of the chaos. It seems impossible to find relax outdoors and the downtown at the same time. Penthouses and rooftops have something special. When we go out to the terrace in my hose to sunbathe or eat in spring we can't hear the street, it's like a little private garden, it is an Asian luxury to have this and just below the center of Madrid.
