HAIR-DATES

It dawned on me recently that I've put my hair on the back burner for the longest time. Every time life gets hectic, my hair is always the first to be neglected. I finally got through my last stash of hair products {check out this post, and this one} and decided to try some new ones. This time I was aiming for moisture retention because I've been experiencing a lot of scalp dryness lately. The hair became suddenly very dry and super delicate and brittle.

PRODUCT DETAILS
* VATIKA Naturals - Purchased from my local Indian Grocer / can also be found on AMAZON.
It is an enriched coconut hair oil and I've been yearning for this for almost 3 years now. I use this for hot oil treatment or just to keep my dry scalp moisturized.
* Bobos Remi Tea Tree Deep Conditioning Treatment - Purchased from my local beauty supply store. But can also be found here on AMAZON. It leaves my hair ridiculously soft and it stays soft for weeks. I pre-poo with this for about half an hour then go about my regular wash routine.
*Dr. Miracles's Cleanse and Condition Leave-In Conditioner - Purchased this from their website. I was very pleasantly surprised by this because I don't usually trust leave-in conditioners in my hair but this product totally turned me into a believer. My dry and unmanageable hair was easy to finger detangle and it can be reapplied as needed.
*Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Extra Moisture Detangle (w. Sea Kelp & Argan Oil). Purchased this from CVS although you can snag this from Target for a few dollars cheaper. Throughout this post I've been talking about my dry hair and how unmanageable my mane can be. Ball all of that up and toss it into a bottle of this goop because I've never found anything that is so immediately moisturizing. It contains things like glycerin, water, shea butter, kernel oil, coconut oil, slippery elm extract?, ...it even has MARSHMALLOW! lol. I obviously don't read labels and lathered this all over my hair reversing my stretched hair to look like a wash and go ... Its been a struggle week. (See below texture shots).

A very little bit of this goes a very very long way and much is not needed to keep the hair moisturized. I'll probably have to clarify my hair to get rid of all this product.

Hope you enjoyed reading this. Tell me about your favorite products that you have tried recently. How do you take care of your hair?
