Sundays are Slow-Cooker Sundays at Teacher's Market. I post an easy recipe to help you out during those busy school nights ahead during the school year.

If you have a quick and easy recipe you'd like to share with other teachers, please leave the recipe in a comment below and I'll be happy to share it next week! Thanks!

Crock Pot Pulled Pork: Makes 10 servings

This recipe comes from Food.com and boy does it look easy and sounds great! It does take a long time to cook, however.

Ingredients:

***4 lbs. Pork Roast (shoulder or butt)

***2 large onions

***1 cup ginger ale

***1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (food.com recommends Sweet Baby Ray's)

***Barbecue Sauce for serving (optional)

Directions:

1. Slice one onion and place in crock pot.

2. Put in the roast and cover with the other onion, sliced. Pour over the ginger ale. Cover and cook on low for about 12 hours.

3. Remove the meat, strain and save the onions. Discard all liquid. With 2 forks, shred the meat, discard any fat, bones or skin.

4. Return the shredded meat and onions to the Crock Pot, stir in the barbecue sauce. Continue to cook on low for another 4-6 hours.

5. Serve with hamburger buns or rolls and additional barbecue sauce.

Makes 10 servings. Leftovers freeze well.
