Decorating our Foyer

I've had so much fun with our foyer. I can't believe I actually have a foyer and a staircase! I'm still working on decorating it. I've already changed it around multiple times trying to figure out what I like and don't like, but as of now this is what it looks like.

My husband's grandmother gave us this table. I love the size and shape of it. It really feels perfect for this space. I love filling our home with pieces that have been passed down and have special meaning.

I'm still trying to decide how to refinish the table so it will coordinate better with the current woodwork throughout the farmhouse. I'm thinking I will sand it down and stain it to match the staircase, but I may paint it white and give it a distressed look. It's staying as is until I'm 100% sure what I want to do. If you have a suggestion, please share it with me!

I've owned the lamp bases for a long time, but the two new shades I recently found at Lowe's give them a completely fresh and new look. I finished styling the table with books, a glass vase, a framed photo (which I brought down from the bathroom, I found a different one to go in there!) and a little rustic carousel I found at TJ Maxx. I'm not really sure what it is, but I loved it and had to have it! I finished things off with a basket filled with a blanket and a couple of throw pillows.

The mirror was hanging in our previous master bedroom, and the ceiling light fixture is a recent DIY project my husband helped me with. I will have to share the details of that project soon!
