L’Oreal Color Riche L’Ombre Pure Eyeshadows

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram then you’ll already know that I had little beauty spree in Tesco on Friday and the new additions that got me the most excited were the recently launched L’Oreal Color Riche L’Ombre Pure Eyeshadows! They hold the promise of buttery, richly pigmented colour with long-lasting performance and a sumptuous finish. I’m already a huge fan of their Infallible eyeshadows which are a very close dupe to the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill eyeshadows.

I picked up Lumiere 500 – a warm gold, Nude 204 – a golden brown nude, Lumiere 502 – a rich metallic taupe and Nude 201 – a warm pink toned taupe brown. You will instantly be impressed with the texture of these eyeshadows on first swatch. They are extremely buttery, especially the nude shades, and feel almost like a cream eyeshadow on application. They are dense, rich and blend out like a dream! They have really fantastic lasting power and definitely stand up to many of their high end counterparts.

You will get the most out of these eyeshadows by applying them with your fingers or with a densely packed flat eyeshadow brush. That will give you the most intense finish. I did have a look for these eyeshadows online but to no avail. I first heard about them on

Amelia Liana’s blog/YouTube channel when she included them in her May Favourites. These are new additions to L’Oreal so you should be able to buy them online pretty soon but if you can’t wait that long then I know you can definitely pick them up in larger Tesco stores.

I used a couple of the shades yesterday – Lumiere 500 all over the lid (using a fluffy brush for a more subtle finish) with Nude 201 in the crease and on the outer lower lash line. You can tailor the finish of these eyeshadows (which are gel-infused) to something sheerer in appearance or alternatively, a more intense look. It’s hard to believe you can buy such a high quality eyeshadow for just £5.49!
