Pregnant Duchess Catherine Cancels Trip to Malta

The Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) is having a tough second pregnancy. Catherine has been suffering from severe morning sickness and it seems to be hanging in there. The Duchess has to cancel her upcoming trip to Malta this weekend, with husband Duke William stepping in and taking one for the team.

The Palace announced, “The Duchess of Cambridge will no longer visit Malta this weekend. The Duke of Cambridge will undertake the visit instead. Her Royal Highness continues to suffer from the effects of Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The decision not to visit was taken by the Duke and Duchess on the advice of the Duchess’s doctors. The Duke is honored to represent Her Majesty The Queen on the visit, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of Malta’s independence. The visit itinerary remains unchanged.”

It was announced that Catherine and William are expecting their second child together next year. She battled severe morning sickness with her first pregnancy as well. We wish her well and hope it gives her some relief soon!
